percent volatile
Definition
Percent volume of a liquid or solid that will evaporate at the ambient temperature (usually 70ðF or about 21ðC, unless some other temperature is specified). For example, butane, gasoline (petrol), and paint thinners are considered 100 percent volatile because (although their individual evaporation rates vary) each will completely evaporate in a relatively short time.
