Definition
A computer language created specifically to describe physical objects in a standardized manner. Physical markup language is used in supply chain management as a way to integrate enterprise resource planning and other business software with devices that collect information from electronic product codes (barcodes and RFID tags) for data processing, storage, analysis, and other administrative purposes.
