2.Mechanics: Distance between two adjacent teeth of a gear or two adjacent threads of a screw or bolt.
3.Physics: Highness or lowness of sound characterized by the frequency producing it.
4.Travel industry: Leg room, the space between two seats, one in front of the other. Also called seat pitch.
5.Typography: Number of characters per inch (cpi) of a monospace (having equal space between all adjacent characters) font, such as Pica or Courier, used in older typewriters.
