precatory words
Definition
Expressions or terms that indicate only a desire, entreaty, recommendation, or wish in a non-binding way; for example, those beginning with "It is my wish and desire to... ." Law courts generally do not enforce agreements or testaments based on precatory words, unless they are accompanied by supporting express declarations.
