prepaid freight
Definition
Air or ocean freight charges that are paid at the port of origin or loading, and are billed to the importer in the exporter's invoice. It is not refundable even if the shipment fails to arrive at its destination. See also cost and freight (C&F) and cost, insurance, freight (CIF).
