rational behavior
Definition
A key assumption used to explain the choices that people make with regards to achieving satisfaction. The theory assumes that people would rather be better off than worse off or have more than less. For example, a person is more likely to buy an item at a lower price than a high one or buy items on sale if they believe it is better value.
