rational pricing

Definition

A theory in economics that states that the pricing model of an asset will reveal the arbitrage-free price of the assets because any deflection from the asset price would be arbitraged away. This pricing assumption is important in setting the price for fixed income securities, such as bonds and derivative instruments.
