re-invoicing center

Definition

A central department in an international company that receives and processes all invoices between the multi-national branches. The center receives and pays all invoices in the currency of the originating country and then re-invoices the product to the receiving company in the currency of the receiver's home country. The purpose of a re-invoicing center is to protect the corporation from risk exposure caused by fluctuations in currency values.
