Definition
One of the two common arrangements for presenting balance sheet information, in which assets are listed on top of the page followed downward by liabilities and owners' equity. In comparison, the traditional account format lists assets on the left hand side, and liabilities and owners' equity on right hand side of the page. Also called report form.
