Type of injunction by which a court prohibits an individual from harassing, threatening, or even approaching, accosting, or contacting a specific individual.

Use restraining order in a sentence

  • If an employee of a company is being harassed by a fellow co-worker, they have the right to obtain a restraining order against that person, and the company has an obligation to aid in compliance with said order.
