seller agent
Definition
A real estate agent who exclusively represents the seller of a property in a real estate transaction. The contract between a property owner and an agent agreeing to sell the property requires the agent to perform certain duties, including; researching recent selling prices for comparable properties, actively marketing the property and advising on the best offers received for the listing. A seller agent must hold a current state license to practice real estate transactions. Also called a Listing Agent.
