simple interest mortgage
Definition
A type of mortgage with an interest rate calculated daily. The daily interest is derived from dividing the interest rate by 365 days, then multiplying the value by the mortgage balance. Simple interest mortgage rates are higher than traditional mortgage rates because of the way in which interest is calculated.
