Definition
Notation used with PEL or TLV exposure data to indicate that the named substance may be absorbed in the body through skin, mucous membranes, and eyes via direct contact or contact with airborne particles. This additional exposure must be taken into account in computing the total exposure to avoid exceeding the relevant PEL or TLV limits.
