temporary agent

Definition

A person who, without having taken a written exam, is given an agent's license for a temporary period. This period is usually 90 days or less. This type of license is usually issued to a person who is charged with finishing business left incomplete by a deceased or disabled agent, or an agent who has become an active duty member of the military.
