Definition
A metric used to assess the ability of a business to fulfill shipping orders or other transactions within the period of time promised to a client or customer. Time delivery is generally expressed as the percentage of transactions that are achieved within the specified timeframe, and is often an area of focus for process improvement initiatives. Also called on-time delivery.
