time-sale financing
Definition
A form of financing where a third party purchases installment sale contracts from a dealer and the borrower will make his payments to the lender. The contracts are sold at a discounted value and this is usually done in combination with dealer floor planning. Banks are the most common borrowers of this type of financing.
