total quality control (TQC)
Definition
Application of quality management principles to all areas of business—from design to delivery—instead of confining them only to production activities. Popularized by the US quality pioneer Armand Val Feigenbaum (1920-) in his 1951 book 'Total Quality Control.' See also total quality management.
