uniform rules for demand guarantees (URDG)
Definition
A set of guidelines created and adopted in 1992 by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). The rules establish a structure to provide balance to international trading practices. They also govern trading partners' independent guarantees and counter-guarantees and create uniform payment practices.
