Definition
Security-investment risk that is not common to all securities or the securities market, but instead is associated with the securities of a particular issuer. Unlike a systemic risk, unsystemic risk can be avoided by portfolio diversification. Also called non-systemic risk, non-market risk or extra-market risk.
