unusual but not extraordinary item
Definition
An asset or liability that must be included on financial statements but does not meet the necessary reporting requirements. This happens when a company suffers a loss due to a labor dispute. The company must report the loss on a different part of the financial statement and not where normal income and expenses are reported.
