Definition
Faster variant of ADSL, the VDSL gives downstream speeds of 12 to 52 million bits per second (Mbps) and upstream speeds of 1.6 to 19.2 Mbps. Its operating range, however, is limited to about 1.5 kilometers (about 5000 feet). Also called broadband digital subscriber line (BDSL).
