virtual reality (VR)

Realistic, real time, three-dimensional (stereoscopic) computer simulation of physical objects and space. Employed in entertainment and training, VR allows the users to 'interact' and have sensory experiences of the actors, images, and sounds through sensors attached to the user's body that track his or her movements.
