visual quality document (VQD)
Definition
A set of specific standards that define the parameters for manufacturing tasks that may include processes, equipment and measuring devices. A visual quality document is created to assist a manufacturer in the automation of all activities within the process (including design, pre-production and post-production) while managing overall performance to obtain the highest quality result.
