wall-to-wall inventory
Definition
A complete inventory of all items in a given warehouse location. This type of scheduled audit is most feasible with small quantities of goods since it is time consuming and may not be viewed as an activity that adds value in large businesses. This approach is more accurate than a random sampling method and may be undertaken if initial sampling shows unacceptable discrepancies.
