warehouse financing
Definition
An inventory financing arrangement in which a manufacturer assigns its goods as collateral to be controlled by an agent on behalf of the lending institution. Such arrangements generally involve the warehousing of non-perishable goods or commodities so that repayment can be tied to the utilization of the goods.
