Definition
The percent of profit over expenditures, or return on investment (ROI) for a website. The general formula is as follows:
(Net Website Revenues - Total website costs) / Total website costs.
Net website revenues are determined by deducting any affiliate fees, cost of goods sold, marketing expenditures, shipping costs and all other expenses which directly impact the revenues. Website costs should include website design, maintenance and hosting fees, software licenses, and other website specific expenditures.
