Definition
Spontaneous or unannounced illegal industrial action by a section of employees, without following the proper procedure for striking such as majority approval through a union ballot. In such situations, the employer usually has the legal right to fire the offending workers and to sue the union for damages. Also called outlaw strike or quickie strike.
