working clearance
Definition
The amount of unobstructed space between the highest point of a column of warehouse units and the lowest point overhead (including lighting fixtures, pipes, fire sprinklers, ceiling beams, etc). Fire safety ordinances determine the minimum clearance required for compliance with local building codes.
