working stock
Definition
Portion of inventory available (or planned to be available) for the normal demand during a given period, excluding excess stock and safety stock. It is the stock formed by items arriving infrequently but in large quantities to meet frequent but small-quantity demands. Also called cycle stock or lot size stock.
